Fraport succesfully implemented the Infologic CMS functionality to enhance the current Flight Information Display System (FIDS)
Infologic Nederland B.V. today announced that it succesfully implemented the Content Management System (CMS) to enhance the FIDS in use at Frankfurt International Airport. Fraport has trusted Infologic to supply the extention of functionality based on it's experience with Infologic advanced FIDS technology used at Frankfurt airport since 1997.
Dynamic Information DisplayThe Infologic CMS functionality has been implemented in order
to allow the airport to easily combine multimedia content with real-time flight
informtation on existing FIDS display devices. As an extension to the FIDS the Content
Management module offers the automatic selection, scheduling and management of
multimedia content on the displays. Using the CM module, Fraport will be able
to easily show any kind of multimedia information either ad-hoc, based on a
schedule or even flight information related.
The airport will be able to combine
safety and security messages, boarding procedures and advertisements in
combination with the real-time flight information. In addition, advertisement
and other content can be better targeted based on location in the terminal and
the time of day. The airport will be able to allow different business units to
add their own multimedia content to the FIDS displays without jeopardizing the
flight information. Moreover, Fraport has an effective tool to run dynamic
advertisement content on existing FIDS display devices.
Close customer partnership
Frankfurt Airport
has been using the Infologic FIDS solutions for over 12 years. What started off
as a solution implemented specifically for Lufthansa, has gradually evolved
into a major airport system. Infologic
has worked closely with Fraport to develop and implement special functionality
such as fast track and waiting list display. The basis for this is a close
